Michael has a BA in Business Administration and Accounting
and is currently Vice President and Business Development
Officer with Union Bank and Trust. Michael has served
on the board of Family Services, Ronald McDonald House,
Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and Child Protection
Council and held several offices within these non-profit
organizations.

Beverly Curry, Ph.D., CFLE
Central City, Nebraska
Beverly is a recently retired Assistant Professor
in the Department of Family and Consumer Science at
the University of Kearney. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy
and a Masters Degree from Kansas State University.
She is a Certified Family Life Educator and co-director
of the Family Life Education Program at Kearney.

Nicole Theophilus, JD
Omaha, NE
Nicole is an attorney with ConArga Foods, Inc. Nicole
graduated from Drake University with a BA in psychology
and graduated from the University of Nebraska College
of law with a J.D. She is a member of the American
Bar Association, the Nebraska Bar Association and
the Omaha Bar Association. While in college, Nicole
volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate
("CASA") to children involved in the court
system. She is now actively involved with several
charities and is also a member of Junior League of
Omaha.

Melissa Ruff, CPA
Lincoln, Nebraska
Melissa is a Senior Auditor with Deloitte & Touche.
She is involved with the UNL Chapter of Alpha Omicron
Pi. Melissa is also a Junior Achievement volunteer
in a 4th grade classroom. She has also been involved
in other fundraising events such as the J.A. Bowl-a-thon
and Walk for Juvenile Diabetes.

Thomas C. Woods IV
Lincoln, Nebraska
Tom is the Program Officer at Woods Charitable Fund,
Inc. Prior to his work at Woods Charitable, Tom worked
as a Program Associate for The Community Foundation
Serving Coastal South Carolina. Tom has a Master's
Degree in Public Administration, concentration being
in Public Management and Policy, as well as a Certificate
in Non-Profit Management from the University of Pittsburgh.
He also has a Bachelor's Degree from Lafayette College
and an Associate's Degree in Humanities from New York
University. Tom currently is a Board Member of the
Lincoln's Children's Museum, Foundation for Lincoln
Public Schools and Tier One Charitable Foundation.
Keith Allen
Omaha, NE
Keith is currently a Professor of Pediatrics &
Psychology with the Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics
& Rehabilitation at the University of Nebraska
Medical Center. He also serves as the Director of
Intern Training and is the Co-Director of the Nebraska
Internship Consortium. Keith earned his Ph.D. from
West Virginia University and is Board Certified. Keith
has received the 2003 UNMC Outstanding Teacher Award
along with the Distinguished Scientist Award by the
American Association of Mental Retardation in 1998.
Keith prides himself in his commitment to children
& families to improve the well-being of children.
Liliana Bronner
Bellevue, NE
Liliana is currently the Program Coordinator for the
Rural Health Education Network in the Area Health
Education Center Program Office located at UNMC. She
received her Master of Health Service Administration
(MHSA) Degree in 2003 from the College of Health and
Urban Affairs at Florida International University
in Miami. Liliana participates in numerous organizations
such as the American College of Health Care Executives,
Altrusa International, and the Coordinating Committee
for Rural Health Education, to name just a few. She
is also a current Board Member of the Nebraska Minority
Public Health Association, acting as the Secretary.
Miguel Carranza
Lincoln, Nebraska
Miguel is an Associate Professor of Sociology &
Ethnic Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
He serves on the boards of the EducationQuest Foundation,
YMCA Community Services Branch - Committee of Management.
His previous board experience included the Lincoln
YMCA, Leadership Lincoln, Lincoln Parks & Recreation
Advisory Board and the State of Nebraska Mexican American
Commission (Chair, Vice Chair).
Philip Heckman
Lincoln, NE
Phil received a Ph.D. from New York University and
another Doctorate of Fine Arts from Doane College.
Phil has an impressive background in philanthropy
and public service extending from the 1950s to the
present day. He has served as President of Doane College
from 1967-87 and President of the Lincoln Community
Foundation from 1987-94. He has participated on numerous
Boards for non-profit organizations and also has acted
as a consultant in many capacities.
Angela Kelso
Omaha, NE
Angela currently serves as the Assistant Vice President
and Project Manager for Wells Fargo. She began her
career with Wells Fargo in 1999 as a communications
consultant responsible for managing their internal
and external communications initiatives in Iowa and
Nebraska. Angela earned her Bachelor Degree in Journalism
and Mass Communications from the University of Nebraska
at Lincoln. She has served on several committees as
well as the Great Plains Girl Scouts Board of Directors
and also the OPS Academy of Finance Advisory Board.
Luanne Nelson
Omaha, NE
Luanne received her B.S. from the College of St. Mary,
and her M.S. from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.
She is currently employed with the Omaha Public Schools
as their Director/Public Information, and Executive
Director/Omaha Schools Foundation. She currently serves
on the boards of the Urban League of Nebraska, UNO
Alumni Association and the National School Public
Relations Association. Luanne received the 2004 YWCA
Woman of Vision Award.
Krisha Niemoth, M.S., L.P.C., L.M.H.P
Grand Island, NE
Krisha received her B.A. in Psychology/Behavioral
Science from Concordia College and her M.S.E.D. from
the University of Nebraska, Kearney. She is currently
in private practice with the Cornerstone Counseling,
Counseling/Enrichments Center and is a MultiSystemic
Therapy Supervisor for Mid-Plains Center for Behavioral
Healthcare. She is a member of the National-American
Association of Christian Counselors and State of Nebraska
Counseling Association.
Nancy Oberst
Omaha, NE
Nancy is currently a Principal with the Omaha Public
School District. She opened the innovative Liberty
Elementary School in downtown Omaha, serving a population
with many challenges. She served 15 years as a teacher
and now 15 years as an administrator. Nancy has also
served on Boards for the Rose Theater, Girls, Inc.,
the Foster Care Review Board, and the U.S. Bank Community
Board. Nancy has a real grasp of issues for which
Voices for Children advocates. Her special areas of
interest are in Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice.
Deborah Suttle
Omaha, NE
Deborah received her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from
West Virginia University. She is a member of several
professional organizations and has won numerous awards
for her efforts including " Outstanding Citizen
of the Year of 2002" and "Distinguished
Service to Public Education of 2002". Deborah
has also served on the Board of Directors for the
Nebraska Alzheimer's Association, Douglas County Hospital
Foundation and is a former State Senator.
Thomas Tonniges, MD, FAAP
Omaha, NE
Tom currently serves as the Medical Director for Boystown
Pediatrics where he is working to develop the Boystown
Institute for Child Health Improvement. He is interested
in the marginalized children and families, the impact
of poverty on children, and children and youth in
foster care and brings experience in these areas from
a service, educational, and national perspective.
Tom has a very comprehensive educational and experiential
background in medicine. He continues to be involved
in numerous professional organizations and has received
many honors and awards.
