Research Associate
Voices for Children in Nebraska, an independent non-profit child advocacy organization, has an immediate opening for a Research Associate.
The primary responsibility of the Research Associate is to oversee data collection, analysis and compilation of the annual Kids Count in Nebraska report. Briefly, other duties and responsibilities include:
• Assist in policy research, development and advocacy as it relates to the work of Voices for Children in Nebraska and Opportunity@Work.
• Establish a Kids Count database and incorporate new data collected annually.
• Oversee Kids Count release event and media communications.
• Attend up to three National Kids Count meetings convened by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and other conferences/seminars/events as available related to new data sources and/or potential research projects.
• Maintain grant reporting records and process for Kids Count and other grant funding opportunities.
• Perform workshop and public speaking functions for Voices for Children covering Kids Count data and information, information from additional research products, and general Voices for Children information.
• Respond to internal and external data requests and provide technical assistance on data collection on behalf of Voices for Children in Nebraska.
• Identify and work with other staff to prioritize additional research projects appropriate for Voices for Children.
